The Mt. Baker 2009 Tour rolled through varied scenery—from flat dairy land divided by the glacial blue waters of the Nooksack River, to ancient cedar forests with abundant flora and fauna, to Alpine summits reached only by maddeningly tight switchbacks. Before you knew it, the group arrived to the lower parking lot at Heather Meadows to spend the afternoon surrounded by awe-inspiring views, with glacial-cooled air reaching out to embrace us under the bright summer sun.
