H&R/TMS M3s Top the Times in New Jersey

THUNDERBOLT RACEWAY, Millville, NJ (August 29, 2008)—Turner Motorsport M3s led the way in the inaugural session of the Koni Challenge series at the new Thunderbolt Raceway in New Jersey. The #96 Motul Lubricants/StopTech Brakes BMW M3 with Bill Auberlen and Matt Alhadeff driving showed the way in this morning’s first practice session. And following not far behind in third place was Don Salama and Bryan Ortiz in the #97 H&R Springs/Nova Derm/OCG/GoToPuertoRico.com BMW M3. Also racing this weekend, in the ST class, is Matt Bell and VJ Mirzayan in the H&R Springs/Borla Exhaust BMW 330i. The racing action continues through this weekend and The Speed Channel will broadcast the race on Sunday, September 7 at 2:00pm ET.

The Koni Challenge Series with the GS and ST classes are at Thunderbolt Raceway in southern New Jersey in the first professional race weekend at America’s newest road course. Practice was throughout the day on Friday and the #96 M3 topped the time sheets for the first practice session around the 2.25 mile course. Qualifying is on Saturday morning. The 250-mile/112 lap race will run on Sunday morning at 8:45am.
